XVIII VIRTUAL FAIR OF CREATIVE SCIENCE, ECOLOGY AND TECHNOLOGY

The Andino Bilingual School carried out with great commitment the XVIII Fair of science, ecology and creative technology, this time framed with a methodology from home, with the participation and accompaniment of the parents and relatives of our students.
The students’ participation was carried out through live sessions using the Microsoft Teams platform, where they carried out the experiments and demonstrations that they had prepared from home. From first to eleven the students appropriated the scientific method to carry out their projects, develop a hypothesis and test it through an experiment to reach conclusions.
The experience of turning their homes into their laboratories was very exciting, the students shone for their ingenuity and creativity with their costumes as scientists preparing very enriching supports; the support they received from their family members facilitated the development of the activity and was also a very special way to share as a family and spend this time together getting involved in these academic activities.
As teachers we are very grateful to see the response of the students to this evaluation project in the Natural Sciences area, to see the emotion they showed and the interest in the projects of their classmates invites us to corroborate that in the Andino Bilingual School we are truly a great family and that from a distance they send us their messages and positive comments of gratitude, admiration and commitment for each of the projects.
Formative evaluation, self-evaluation and co-evaluation were taken into account, where they themselves analyzed their work and those of their colleagues, highlighting the effort, creativity, the scientific method and of course bilingualism.
