Training: Stress Techniques and Anxiety Management
Stress and anxiety are conditions that can affect human beings of any age in the performance of their daily activities. These emotional situations can be triggered if preventive programs are not carried out in favor of our emotional and mental well-being.
Aware of the mental health of the teachers and administrators of the Andean Bilingual School, the directors opened a space to train and give techniques for the management of stress and anxiety, led by a guest psychologist.
The training was guided by Sara Pérez, a professional in psychology with a doctorate in music therapy and a master’s degree in psychotherapies, and by the institution’s counselor Nancy Fonseca. The strategies that were provided were simple techniques applicable at home, require little time and with positive effects on people’s mental health.
Breathing exercises, laughter yoga and release of emotions were some of the techniques that were developed during the training. Finally, the entire educational plant was invited to develop these exercises at the beginning of their working day or during the course of the day.
